About Space Captain Steve? What's that all about? Well actually my real name is Steve Stamatiadis. I work at a video game development company called Krome Studios. I also am one of the founders and co-owner of it. Cool huh? wait there's more... I'm the Creative Director and I'm also game/art directing on a really cool project - which is still top secret =( Krome is about 300 people strong with 3 studios in Australia (Brisbane, Adelaide and Melbourne) which means I also get to work with some of the best videogame talent in the country. I have a good job. To top that I'm one of the lead people behind the TY the Tasmanian Tiger series. You may have head of it as a kid's series, and it is. But it's also sold over two million copies and that's not too shabby. I still do all the character design for the series (though I'm getting a nice break from it for the moment. It will be back sooner than you know). Even with all that cool stuff I'm a borderline OCD designer and I have to draw all the cool stuff in my head. So that's how I like to spend m spare time... when I'm not playing World of Warcraft or, PS2, or 360.. or Wii or any other console I have running. Still why "Space Captain"? It sounded good at the time and it stuck. |
